April 5, 2024

On Tuesday, we learned about autism spectrum disorder for World Autism Awareness Day.  To celebrate the best in each of us, we created a paper chain showcasing our individual strengths.  In language, we practiced using quotation marks to create dialogue, or conversation, between characters.  In media, we reflected on the elements used in posters and commercials.  In math, we continued to review adding and subtracting by calculating total costs when purchasing different items, and the change due.  In social studies, we created a chart indicating the family member roles in traditional Indigenous communities.  In art, we learned that sculptures are 3D forms.  We then began to sculpt a figure out of aluminum foil.
